I didn’t believe it. Besides, I was too focused on the Detroit Pistons and their playing to care about some supposed ghost. I didn’t care if there was a ghost as long as it didn’t hog the remote, or worse, change to the “Lifetime” channel. I’d break its ghostly arm if it did that. The house was built in the 1800’s, and the strange thing was that we as a group checked in, but there was nobody to check us in. There was no owner present, it seemed. We had just corresponded with email, and when I had asked about payment, he — or it– wrote back and said that we could worry about that later. This was strange, as I had stayed in Bed and Breakfasts before, for work, and they always want payment in advance. Who can blame them? Tara had relatives in the Detroit area, and in Cleveland, so this was going to be a homecoming for her. I was happy for her. The first night we got there we took a walk. The old house was on about 20 acres and was on the outskirts of Ann Arbor.
